You can love yourself through anything!  Yes, even when you breakup with someone. Ending a relationship that was based on love and trust – oh, yes, that can mess with you, big time!  Breaking up IS 'hard to do.' But stay true to YOU through it all – through the sleepless nights – through the tears and even through the anger. Anger is simply a way of avoiding the pain. Face the pain …. walk through it. I promise you that on the other side of the pain great things are waiting for you. Let go and let God. Do your best to stay away from the place that questions your love, the quality of your love or the ability you have to love. That will eat you alive – that is 'DRAMA' and it is self-destructive and self-demeaning. To move on you must move in …. within yourself. For therein, you will find your paradise, your bliss, your peace of mind and the true connection you have to real love – divine love. 

                                      ANGRY RAIN

Tears like angry rain.

Gushing down the gutters to the drain.

Pooling in puddles of pain.

This again?

Dear God, we’re going to do this again?

I want tears that are pure – tears of joy.

Why is it we choose to hurt ourselves?

It is not another – it is our own expectations of the other that we allow

to disappoint us and wash us down the filthy gutter.

Collecting up all the pain of all the others.

Agony that lay in the street.

Nowhere else to go when it was kicked to the curb.

Put out there like the Monday trash – only no one came to take it away.

A few happened by and riffled through to see what was salvageable,

creating an even larger mess.

One man’s trash – another’s treasure?

Hardly seems so in this case.

Too many gaping wounds no one can close or erase.

Even the rains that come cannot purify what has putrefied.

Washed up in the heap of others – broken hearts and promises.

Lost lovers – dreams shattered – litter scattered all about.

Now piled as one heap – a fowl disgusting mess – no longer a secret to keep.

Tears like angry rain – desperately attempting to wash away the pain.

Tears like cold water on a scald – sooner or later the blister will come.

The wound will heal.

The human body, the resilience of the soul, the endless ability of the heart;

now if only the mind would shut the hell up!

For it is the mind that stirs the pile of trash and allows the stench to escape.

A daily reminder of rotting memories – so leave the rubbish heap alone.

By the grace and glory of God the pile will rot itself away.

In its place seeds will sprout, buds will blossom, beauty will abound.

Tears no longer angry – rain gently falling on the ground.

Tears that purify – hidden treasures still to be found.

Let me explore you as I expose myself; not hiding a thing.

Are you strong enough to last long enough to tell me what’s in your heart?

Shades of RED

With two teaspoons of wishful thinking I make you mine. I will not lose the dream inside of me. Even if the life I am living turns out to be dream. It is what is inside that matters most. I can be as much as I choose to be. I will keep all of my much-ness and not surrender a drop of it. Drink me, eat me, pinch me – I want to know what is real. Then I will ask you to please tell me what you feel? I’ll step forth to be the champion of my own life. I am not here to please others or hide under the covers; nor to get lost down a rabbit hole. Yes, there are liars, cheaters and falsifiers. In everlasting gratitude I honour my soul. I cherish the goal of the dream in my heart. There will be some that paint all their roses red and have huge swollen heads. However, I choose to be loved rather than be feared. Even before breakfast I choose to believe six impossible things. One of them is you and me loving endlessly in another reality. When sitting down to tea I shall invite whomever I please. I will entertain and dance till I fall down on my knees. I will slay the jabberwocky by removing its head, and make it home to sleep in my own bed. After all that, I will sleep alone; chilled to the bone. If I am not to have you in this life perhaps you will be mine in the next. Does it feel like you are walking around empty? Are you waiting for someone to come along and fill you up? What if they show up and their cup is only half full – and they pour into yours – what is left for them? Doesn't seem fair does it? What if you both show up with cups overflowing? Yes, those are a lot of questions

…. but you are thinking about it …. so that is a good thing.

YOU are the only one who can fill up your own loving cup – with LOVE …. self-love. That is why it is called a 'loving cup.' It is not called the Pity Cup – oh yes, many are walking around with cups overflowing with pity; usually self-pity. Now how sexy and appealing is that?

A loving cup spilling over and gushing all over the place, dripping and oozing the juices of life – hmmm, now that sounds a little more sexy and appealing, doesn't it?

Every time we take a few moments for ourselves: in prayer, meditation, deep breathing, stretching, walking, sipping a cup of tea, or sitting under a tree – we fill up our own loving cups.

If we come to each other with our cups full of self-love we have a much greater chance of loving, fulfilling and healthy relationships. We cannot run around expecting others to give us a drop here and a drop there or pouring all of our cups into the empty cup of another – if we know not how to refill our own loving cups. Oh, there is no greater gift than to completely fill the cup of another – but only if we truly know our own empty cups will fill again and again from an endless Source. We can tap into this endless Source anytime we choose. When we take daily, those precious few moments for reconnecting to this Source from a place of self-love and gratitude – our cups will never be empty.  DMF

SELF SUCCESS is  SELF LOVE

No matter what your version of success is – it starts inside first.

When we feel good about ourselves we can accomplish anything. When we have put to rest all the little nagging negative voices that we have dragged around for years – we will indeed be on our way to success. When we believe we are worthy and when we have learned to love ourselves we will have achieved SELF SUCCESS and then the world becomes our oyster. In learning to love ourselves we will attract others that are ready to love and be loved. And is that not the mission of each and every one of us — to love and be loved? I would easily say that is true SUCCESS — the rest will come — the fame, the cars, the homes — they are not the measure of success. When our hearts are overflowing and forever growing and expanding — we will know SELF SUCCESS and this is how it is measured — by the heart — and the smile that permanently comes with it. Keep smiling — the rest will come.
